June 18, 2026
Castleview Hospital has released its 2025 Community Benefit Report, highlighting the many ways the hospital continues to invest in the health and well-being of Carbon, Emery, and surrounding communities.
The report reflects Castleview Hospital's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality healthcare close to home while supporting the communities it serves through investments in people, services, technology, and local partnerships.
"At Castleview Hospital, our mission goes beyond treating illness. We're committed to strengthening the health of our community in meaningful ways," said Mark Holyoak, Chief Executive Officer of Castleview Hospital. "Whether it's expanding access to care, investing in new technology, supporting local organizations, or creating opportunities for our employees, we're focused on ensuring quality care and resources are available right here at home."
Throughout 2025, Castleview Hospital continued to invest in the future of healthcare in eastern Utah. The hospital completed $2.9 million in capital improvements, including upgraded X-ray equipment, a new MRI machine, replacement anesthesia machines, and new arthroscopy towers to support surgical services.
Castleview Hospital also provided more than $11.3 million in uncompensated care and other health services for patients in need, helping ensure access to care regardless of a person's financial circumstances.
As one of the area's largest employers, Castleview Hospital remains committed to supporting its workforce. In 2025, the organization provided approximately $31 million in salaries, wages, and benefits to 380 employees. The hospital also invested more than $77,000 in tuition assistance and professional development programs, helping employees continue their education and advance their careers while strengthening local care.
Beyond healthcare services, Castleview Hospital contributed to the local economy through more than $4 million in state and local taxes and continued its support of numerous community organizations, programs, and events through sponsorships and charitable contributions.
"We're proud to be part of this community," said Holyoak. "Every investment we make is made with our neighbors in mind. We're grateful for the trust our community places in us and for the dedication of our employees, providers, and volunteers who make our mission of making communities healthier possible every day."
