Castleview Celebrates New Behavioral Health Unit

October 07, 2026

PRICE, Utah โ€“ Castleview Hospital recently welcomed community leaders, healthcare providers, first responders, elected officials and special guests, including Utah Governor Spencer Cox, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the hospital's new 14-bed Behavioral Health Unit.

The new unit represents a significant investment in expanding access to behavioral health services for residents of Carbon and Emery counties. Once operational, the unit will provide inpatient care for adults experiencing acute behavioral health needs, helping patients receive treatment closer to home and their support systems.

Although the facility was recently dedicated, Castleview Hospital is still completing final preparations before the unit begins accepting patients. Hospital leaders anticipate services will begin in the near future and will share additional information with the community as soon as an official start date is established.

"This project reflects our commitment to improving access to behavioral healthcare in our region," said Mark Holyoak, CEO of Castleview Hospital. "We look forward to providing this important resource for individuals and families throughout eastern Utah."

Following the ceremony, guests toured the new facility and learned more about the services that will soon be available to residents of Carbon, Emery and surrounding communities.
